Inspired by Egyptian queen, Nefertiti, this design pays homage to her as a modern-day muse. Embodying both female empowerment and sophistication, the story behind her missing eye is reimagined. The garment silhouettes are sculpted into abstract representations of the eye itself, symbolising how the eye is a window into one’s inner beauty. Luxurious fabrics lend an air of refinement, using sheer-organza layers to evoke the delicate, yet protective, concealing of the eye. Beneath, reveals rich tie-dyed satins which mirror the intricate iris and its depth of colour. This interplay of sheer and opaque and use of structure, celebrates the multi-faceted nature of beauty.
